Exclusive Premiere: Cave People “Small”

Philadelphia indie band Cave People are in the process of releasing their new album Sinning Tree via Stereophonodon Records (preorder it here!) but they were kind enough to come to Loser City with a premiere of their track “Small.” Bridging the low-key poetic melancholy of the Silver Jews and the thick, rugged sounds of Archers of Loaf, “Small” is an intriguing track that breaks from the more Pavement-inspired slackness of so many modern indie bands. If you’re in Philly, you can catch the band’s release party at PhilaMOCA on October 28th but until then enjoy “Small!”

About Nick Hanover

Nick Hanover got his degree from Disneyland, but he’s the last of the secret agents and he’s your man. Which is to say you can find his particular style of espionage here at Loser City as well as Ovrld, where he contributes music reviews and writes a column on undiscovered Austin bands. You can also flip through his archives at Comics Bulletin, which he is formerly the Co-Managing Editor of, and Spectrum Culture, where he contributed literally hundreds of pieces for a few years. Or if you feel particularly adventurous, you can always witness his odd .gif battles with Dylan Garsee on twitter: @Nick_Hanover
