Today we’ve got a special treat in the form of “Rides,” the debut single by Loser City co-founder Morgan Davis’ group Denise. Recorded at Eastern Sun Audio by Matt Simon (Voxtrot, Tele Novella), “Rides” is a rambunctious bit of indie pop perfectly timed for the tail end of summer, with a sweet-and-sour vocal performance by Kate Doherty that brings out the full flavor of Vinh Ngo’s reverb-heavy guitar. Austin residents can catch Denise at Spider House Ballroom on Thursday, September 18th with Portland’s fantastic Genders and K Records’ Ruby Fray.
